On the afternoon of February 2nd, the first batch of customized orders under the strategic cooperation between Shantou's textile and garment industry and the Charoen Pokphand Group successfully completed their initial delivery! Container trucks loaded with goods worth millions set off smoothly from the Shantou International Textile City, marking the substantive delivery phase of nearly ten-million-yuan-level cooperative orders between the two parties. This has vividly illustrated the theme of "overseas Chinese promoting high-quality economic development."

The first batch of cooperation between Shantou's textile and garment industry and the Charoen Pokphand Group involves 7 enterprises, totaling 8 containers with a cargo value of nearly 10 million yuan. The product categories include Underwear, briefs, homewear, socks, etc. The initial delivery order was supplied by Guangdong Bailian Underwear Co., Ltd., a vice-president unit of the association and the chairman unit of the briefs branch.

The smooth progress of this collaboration is attributed to the meticulous cultivation and strong support of the Shantou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for specialized industries. The municipal government has continuously optimized the business environment, actively built platforms for cooperation, and vigorously promoted the transformation, upgrading, and international expansion of traditional advantageous industries such as textiles and apparel. In September last year, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group, visited Shantou. During his meeting with representatives of the "Two Special" industries, including textiles and apparel, he expressed strong confidence in the industry's development and pledged to actively support Shantou products in going global. This commitment laid a solid foundation for deeper cooperation in the future.

Under the guidance of the municipal Party committee and government, and with the efficient leadership of the association, the cooperation between the two parties quickly gained momentum. From October to December last year, the association conducted multiple in-depth inspections, exchanges, and product selection meetings with Charoen Pokphand Group's (CP Group) commercial team. Notably, in early December, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont personally led CP Group’s core business team and next-generation leaders to revisit Shantou for an in-depth investigation of the industrial chain. He highly praised the scale advantages, manufacturing strength, and high-quality development achievements of Shantou’s textile and garment industry. He explicitly stated that CP Group would not only incorporate Shantou’s textile and garment products into its own sales network but also leverage its global business connections to help these products expand into international markets.

To ensure efficient and smooth cooperation, the association and CP Group jointly established a regular collaboration mechanism, forming a dedicated liaison team to provide comprehensive, professional support—from product screening and quality control to logistics coordination—to help Shantou’s goods "go global." The first shipment of goods, valued at millions, marks a milestone in the effective operation of this mechanism, demonstrating the capability and efficiency of Shantou’s textile and garment industry in precisely responding to international market demands.
