Shantou Textile and Garment Industry Collaborates with Thailand's CP Group to Chart a New Blueprint for Overseas Markets
In September 2025, under the promotion of the municipal Party committee and government, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of Thailand's CP Group, visited Shantou for an inspection and proposed a cooperation intention with the textile and garment industry. Since last year, the association has actively assisted CP Group in product selection and matching, achieving phased results, with the second batch of cooperative orders currently in progress.
The CP delegattion team visited Shantou for product selection, and the first batch of cooperative orders are being delivered successively.
In September 2025, Mr. Xie Guomin and his Delegation Visited Shantou for an inspection, expressing their intention to sell Shantou's toys and clothing globally. The group promptly arranged for several senior executives from its Thai and domestic companies to lead teams to Shantou for product selection.
From October to November, the retail business teams of Charoen Pokphand Group visited 17 member companies for product selection and inspections. Through communication and discussions with the Thai team, seven companies were selected as the first batch of partners for official collaboration.


Currentl fiy, therst batch of 8 containers, representing nearly ten million yuan in orders, has completed the delivery of 2 containers! The cooperative orders between both parties have entered the substantive delivery phase!
Both sides deepened their inspection and exchange, proposing a preliminary plan for joint venture cooperation.
On December 1st, Mr. Xie Guomin and his delegation visited Shantou International Textile City to inspect the industry and expressed their intention to further cooperate with Shantou's industries through joint ventures.

On December 9th, Vice President Li Chen and the advance team traveled to Thailand to engage in in-depth discussions with Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont and the group's apparel and lingerie procurement team. They conducted on-site research into the company's diverse retail formats, laying a solid foundation for future procurement collaboration between the two parties.

On December 22nd, as part of the bilateral cooperation plan, the association gathered nearly 200 products from 32 companies. Led by President Weng Chuangjie, Executive Vice President Ma Qingxuan, Vice President Li Chen, and Secretary-General Yu Shaofen, the delegation traveled to Thailand for further cooperation discussions with Charoen Pokphand Group and conducted on-site product selection. Nearly 100 potential cooperative products were selected as the second batch of intended procurement items for the enterprises.

Establishing communication mechanisms for the second batch of cooperative orders
On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2026, with the follow-up assistance of the Secretariat, the second batch of 17 cooperative factories officially established connections with the Charoen Pokphand Group. Currently, the prospective partner factories are further providing detailed information on their intended products and actively facilitating order collaborations with Charoen Pokphand.
From February to March, the association held working meetings with representatives of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group to discuss future cooperation directions and models, and to establish a regular communication mechanism.
Since CP Group initiated its product selection process, all procurement intention information has been released in the member WeChat groups. As of now, the association has assisted CP Group in selecting products from 49 companies, with orders signed by 8 companies, negotiations ongoing with 17 companies, and delivery completed for 1 company.
